Here are a few of the most popular questions we get asked about a photoshoot for your vacation property.
How long does it take to get my images and content ?
Most images take around 48hrs to get delivered, we normally deliver inside 36hrs with 95% of shoots. Virtual staging images take around 5 days to complete if that’s part of your order. You will receive a link to Google Drive to download them, the link is active for 6 months.
Why do I need a matterport account for the 360 virtual tour ?
Matterport charges for hosting and rather than us charge separately we recommend opening your own account. After the scan has completed, we then transfer the completed scan to your account. Your can open an account here. Opening an account is free, and the first scan is free to host. Virtual tours are an optional extra.
Do I own the copyright to my images ?
No, we retain the image licensing for all content. However you are free to use it for the marketing of your property. All other commercial activities are prohibited including, selling, listing on stock photo sites (free or paid), entering into competitions for prize money or otherwise. Publication is prohibited for any purpose other than promoting your rental unit. You are prohibited from giving them way. If you want to buy the license you can absolutely do that, contact us for more information.
How long does the photoshoot take ?
The standard package takes around 90 mins or less for a property of up to 5,000 sq ft. if the property is clean and tidy before we start then it can be much quicker. Larger houses and packages can take up to 120 mins.
I have two units in the same building, will I need a separate booking for each ?
Yes, we cannot have one booking for two separate units. Please make an additional booking to follow the first one, and we will do both at the same time. if the time slot is not available, book the next one and make a note in the booking it’s to follow the first.
Will you help us move furniture around ?
Unfortunately not, due to insurance limitations on liability we don’t want to be exposed for breaking or damaging anything of value.
What if I have damaged walls or something that needs editing out in post production ?
As long as we can brush out the area that needs fixing with a flat texture, then yes we can. Most edits cost around $49 per retouch. You can ask for that when your shoot is complete and images have been delivered.
It’s raining, can I move my appointment ?
In most cases yes you can, if the sky is very cloudy or grey we can add in a blue sky in post production at no extra cost. We can’t replace or edit out ground water. If the rain forecast is severe let us know 24hrs before your appointment time and we can move your appointment to the next available time with no charge. If you want to change the date within 24hrs due to poor weather there is a charge of $120 additional.
Make sure you are checking the weather if you think it’s important for your photography to be rain free.
What’s the cancellation policy ?
Refunds are available up to 72hrs before the booking time. Cancellations within 72hrs will be supplied a credit, or refund less 25% of total booking.
All sales are final.
Is Shoot My Photo affiliated with AirBnb / VRBO etc ?
Absolutely not. Shoot My Rental is an independent company that have been photographing hotels, short term rentals and commercial real estate for over 20yrs. We know what makes great images with the experience we have gained in the market place.
Which areas do we cover ?
Right now we cover the following areas of South Carolina state. Charleston, within a 30mile radius of Charleston. If you have another region you need us to be in please contact us for a price.
What’s in the standard and premium packages, which do I choose ?
The standard package is designed for short term rentals of less than 5,000 sq ft. In the standard package you get the following for $199

- HDR Edited
- Replacement Sky
- Replacement Grass
- B&W Floorplans
- Fast Turnaround
The premium package includes the same with a few extras, such as the items below. There are more images in this premium package which is best for units over 5,000 sq ft for $299.
- up to 55 images
- 2 virtually staged images if needed (for those incomplete spaces)
- Lifestyle image(s) to show details and evoke emotion or show local facilities and amenities
Do you have a phone number ?
Yes, you can call us on (518) 772 2001 during business hours which are 10am to 4:30pm M-F. Phone lines are closed at weekends. You can also contact us on our home page.
Do you have an example of a live listing with images ?
